Is Today a GOOD Day for You?

Any time I can see, hear or learn something new is a GOOD day!

Today, for the first time, I saw someone in line behind me at the drive-up window KNITTING!

Wow! Now that's someone who is either under a deadline to clothe someone or needs to fill the vacant moments in their life! In either case, it's certainly productive. I guess one person's moment of meditation is another person's knitting opportunity.

What is your GOOD news moment? Comments welcome!

EnLighten-Up! Hartford

Here are some of the upcoming Greater Hartford (CT) area

events that we hope will help to make Hartford the hub* of

spiritual** and holistic, enlightened growth for businesses and

individuals in New England:

* definition of "hub":

at the crossroads of major highways,

20 min to an International Airport,

30 min to the mountains,

30 min to the ocean,

1/2-way between NYC and Boston

PLUS a city full of people looking for opportunity!

** "Spiritual" doesn't necessarily equate to Religious"!

"Spirituality is becoming differentiated from religion as an individual expression that speaks to the greatest of human capacities." citation
"Science is not only compatible with spirituality;
it is a profound source of spirituality." Carl Sagan
"Religion is for those who don't want to go to Hell.
Spirituality is for those of us who have already been

Monkey-Mind Soup!

BURNING QUESTION: Is it time for a change in contemporary music styles?

As my car radio was yet again held hostage by my teenager's taste in music this morning, I was forced to listen to what seemed to be the same old rapid-fire, monotone (1-note) soliloquy.

I asked a passenger whether or not it might be time for a change in music styles and was informed that there is a healthy sea-change going on in local "underground" venues.

How find and to listen to these new offerings? Not on the radio apparently, unless it's via a local college station. Is that how "our" music of the 60's & 70's got started?

Sometimes, change can't happen fast enough! -- Your thoughts?
